PFC (Power Factor Correction) GaN integrated series products are primarily designed for front-end power conversion applications, combining the high-efficiency characteristics of GaN with power-grid-friendly PFC design. These products effectively improve the power factor of power supplies and reduce harmonic interference. By utilizing GaN technology, they can operate at higher switching frequencies, achieving smaller form factors and higher power density.
This series is particularly suitable for applications requiring strict compliance with power harmonic standards, such as server power supplies, telecommunications equipment power supplies, and industrial power supplies. Through the integration of PFC controllers and GaN power components, these products not only simplify circuit design but also achieve higher conversion efficiency (typically exceeding 98%). They also feature multiple protection functions, including overvoltage, overcurrent, and over-temperature protection, ensuring reliable system operation.
The JP8320 series offers a highly integrated solution for AC/DC PFC conversion applications, featuring integrated high-voltage GaN power transistors, 500V startup switches, and customized regulation modes with multiple protection functions. This cost-effective solution can deliver up to 300W in boost applications. Operating stably at high frequencies of 100~500 kHz, the JP8320 enables smaller transformers and output capacitors, significantly reducing module size and weight, achieving much higher power density compared to traditional switching power supplies.
